G-lish products are made with recycled "pure water" plastic bags and recycled Ghanaian fabric. We've used over 410,000 plastic water bags and around 2,100 square metres of recycled fabric.
The process is illustrated here. In a nutshell, we cut the plastic and fabric into long strips. This is done by two different people. Then, two more different people twist the plastic and fabric into twine, respectively. Then, our manager takes the plastic and fabric twine to the villages and hands them to the weavers. The weavers weave the recycled twine into baskets and wall hangings.
